Part of the old Chowhound community–first started posting around 2015 (I believe). Excited by good food and drink of all types. Especially fond of Chinese, Japanese (sushi and kaiseki in particular), Korean and Southeast Asian cuisines, and red wines that improve with age. Going through a Japanese whisky phase at the moment. Married for over three decades; two kids (one is a lawyer like me), six Chow Chows and a Siberian Husky. Chinese-American; parents fled to Taiwan ahead of the commies in '49 and I was born in SoCal. I have a passion for Ancient Rome and all things Roman; been that way for decades.
