I’ve become a fan of Odys+Penelope for brunch. Super delicious.

Chateau Marmont could be cool…I think they can do bigger parties.

Market Provisions on Beverly has a pretty good brunch w good bottomless mimosa.

Goldies on Third street isnt bad either.

Oooh… those are good ones.

Thanks! I want to do a test run first. It inspires such wildly different opinions.

I have a question. What do you think about accessibility for the grands? I love the CM, but just wondering.

Okay, never mind. I was just scolded and told that under no certain terms are any grands unable to walk up a hill. Okay, okay… just checkin’.

P.S. Also, feel free to add other young adult or mixed crowd spots in all neighborhoods. This could make good reference for future brunch seekers.

Too bad it has to be Hollywood

Charcoal has a pretty fun brunch

That’s good though. This is now a brunch thread. We’re accepting all recs.

Oh cool.

It’s very spacious and quiet. Everyone packs into eh loud and “oddball”/hip Nighthawk next door. Probably also a fun place to go, though if that’s what you want out of brunch.

Charcoal leans more classical, certainly.

Oh also you mentioned previously you think salts cure has too much meat on its brunch menu? Last time I went there was with a vegetarian and she was fine. They have a toasts, salads, veggie dishes, and those magical oatmeal griddlecakes. It’s possible to eat really well without having any meat there I think.

Their new place in their old spot that focuses on new renditions of their griddlecakes might be even better in some sense. That place is called BREAKFAST by Salts Cure I think.

Hi -

Okay, here’s the latest. Plus some info. for future big group brunchers. We’re going to Commissary at The Line Hotel (k-town).

It has shroomed into about 20 ppl + baby. Commissary is the most accommodating. They are not fussy - we can all sit together, no fee, no deposit, no pre-selected menu or mandatory bar tab - as long as we all do the breakfast / brunch buffet (coffee, tea, etc. incl). They discounted from around $50 per (lg. group figure) to $37.50 per, bottomless mimosas $18 per (cocktails extra) and we can have a separate bar tab, so non-drinkers aren’t obligated.

Plus, we like to throw Roy Choi some love when possible.

Happy Brunching!

A dear friend and I want to have a Basic Bitches Brunch to celebrate some big life things. I’ve got a new job, and she will have completed an enormous work project!

We are in our 40’s, and both love this city. My ideal is someplace that will have great, thoughtful service, delicious food, and SPECTACULAR crowd watching.

The best place I have thought of is the Four Seasons Brunch in Beverly Hills. Alas, alack, she and I need to meet on a Saturday.

She’s suggested Sunset Tower. Has anyone been, and if yes, is there a booth or table to request?

Republique and Gjelina have been dismissed for discouraging a gentle lingering conversation.

Any other suggestions?

Grand Central Market? different places to grab food. A lot of different types of people walking around. Early enough where it’s not crowded and you can find a place to sit and eat.

Salazar - nice outdoor brunch, great for people watching. feels “Very LA” according to people from other states who have moved here.

Nobu Malibu
Catch LA

then drinks at Chateau Marmont

spago
otium
redbird

Rose Cafe or Republique

Congrats to you and your fellow bitches! Let us know where you end up.

P.S. Thanks for searching and posting on an established thread. I think it helps the community and newcomers when searching for something.

I went to the Exchange Restaurant at the Freehand Hotel in downtown L.A. for our annual ladies holiday brunch and enjoyed the space, food, service, and people watching. We went to the rooftop bar afterwards (with DJs most days, I believe) for continued people watching by the pool.

My choice for a girlfriend’s brunch would be the Penthouse in Santa Monica. I’ve heard the dinner service is just ok, but for brunch, it’s good. We (girlfriends and I) have done brunch there a few times – nice views, decent food and good people watching. Ask for a window table. It’s not OMG amazing, but it’s an elegant fun place that won’t rush you out after you’re done eating.
