Dim Sum & Hong Kong Seafood Specialist - Sea Harbour

Hi @Sgee,

That’s… terrible! Produce in Manhattan costing that much is absurd. :frowning: Whenever we travel, it really makes me appreciate how good California produce is.

Yeah food costs in NYC is crazy. My grocery tabs are out of control. ~ 40% higher vs LA.

But not cheap. One can easily find $3 artichokes, $2 avocados. I think E. Coast people think ours is cheap. Not.

not always but it was within the last week.

The hot oil of the steamed fish seeps into every corner of the fish. It separates the edible flesh from the inedible cartilage.

May your chopsticks be the hot oil.

Sweet and Sour Pork. I have no frame of reference from the OG recipes that are in Hong Kong.

Steamed Egg. Classic Chinese homestyle dish is truly exemplary here. This hit the spot with the cooler weather.

Steamed Prawns…didn’t get it, out of season right now but available at almost $80 a pound!!

I restraint myself and did not order a plate of greens lol

Went to Boston Lobster afterwards for Shaking Beef takeout for work lunch tomorrow

Hi @JeetKuneBao,

Thanks for the report back. Looks delicious. Wow, the last time we were there the live spot prawns were more reasonable at $45 / pound. Maybe it’s just a shortage right now? Or was it a special type?

That steamed egg looks wonderful!
