Today I was nearby and decided to make a stop. The Tuesday market (if I’ve ever been, it has been ages) was really slim pickins - maybe a third of its usual Saturday self, and not worth a stop. Is this an aberration, or its usual Tuesday self?
I remember it as being very small, maybe 7-8 stands.
Don’t forget it is only mid-May. Expect more in a few weeks.
Yet Saturday is a much larger market, even through the winter. This is what surprised me.
During the work week maybe they don’t get enough customers to attract farmers. They’re also competing for vendors with Tuesday markets in Alameda, Berkeley, Concord, two locations in Oakland, SF, San Ramon, and Union City.
