Who's got the best Italian sub?

Took this pic today. Doesn’t look like Heroic Deli is opening any time soon.

Italian @ Hy Mart
It’s only 50% Italian but more delicious than many on this list.

Talked to an employee who was painting the outside and he said Heroic Deli should be open in a couple of weeks.

Bay Cities was closed all day yesterday and is closed again today. I’ve never seen them close other than Mondays and holidays. Anyone have the inside scoop?

Presumably due to the curfew in Santa Monica…

I was there yesterday at 11:30 and they were open. And busy.

They busted the windows of the barber shop next door. Looters were hitting the Vons across the street.

It is chaos here in Santa Monica.

I made it here today. Was in the area. Good sandwich. Would get it again if I am back over that way.

What do you guys think about Dan’s Super Sub?

I love Dans.

It’s a sub. So to me the bread is a vessel unlike a great deli.

I used to go there all the time. Love it.

Personally not a fan of the Italian dressing, though most do. Place is mobbed all the time.

I love getting tuna sub there. They put pickle spears but you can get chopped tomatoes and pickles instead.

Great party subs.

I thought that looked familiar! That’s at the old LFP building. I used to work right across the street.

Next trip in that area, I’m going to need to stop by. Is it easy to park there?

Normally, no not at all but right now street parking on Wilshire isn’t bad. I want to point out even though the address is on Wilshire it’s really on the south side of the building closer to LaCienega.

Saw this yesterday.

Glad @matthewkang mentioned Italia Deli in Agoura. Absolutely love that place.

You can get fresh-baked hard or soft roll. And while as the article states they do have Boars Head, they also have imported Italian meats for their Italian cold cut sandwiches.
