26th Kitchen & Carry

What do you call a place that smokes their own meats (beef, chicken, bacon, ribs, etc.) as well as fish (tuna), and makes literally everything from scratch (potato chips included) with the exception of bread?

A hole-in-the-wall gem, that’s what. And a perfect pitstop before a Padres game.

Tried the tri-tip beef “daily” special, which came on a sturdy white Texas-toast like bread, with what must’ve been about 7-8 slices of nice thickly cut beef, slathered with their in-house bbq sauce. Good stuff. Very good.

Need to go back and try their sausage sandwich (which they make in-house), as well as their Chicago hot dog.

If you call ahead, they’ll have everything packed and ready to-go (for curb-side pickup if you want) to take with you to Petco to watch the Padres lose.
