Affordable Eats

What are some recommended affordable eats for Vegas, especially around the north end of the Strip?

I’m paying more-than-I’m-comfortable for the hotel, and need to scrounge for some affordable eats.

I’ve been looking through lists of Vegas cheap eats, and it seems like these are popular cheap eats:

Tacos El Gordo
Ellis Island
Casino Royale Hot Dog
The food court at Planet Hollywood with Ocean One lunch menu where everything is $5.99, Earl of Sandwich, Ketchup Burger, etc…
The secret pizza at the Cosmo
Hash House A Go Go (the large portions makes it affordable)

Are any of those options actually good, or are they just super cheap?

Relatively affordable eats:

  • SoulBelly (Burger)
  • Bang Bar
  • Good Pie (Pizza)
  • Esther’s Kitchen
  • Shang Noodle
  • Monta Ramen
  • CRAFTKitchen

Secret Pizza is pretty good; the steak at Ellis Island is about what you’d expect for a very cheap steak. Consider Viva Las Arepas, which is a bit north of the Stratosphere on Las Vegas Boulevard. I really like the wood fire beef arepas. Quite reasonable, and good quality. Full Menu - Viva las Arepas

Resorts World Food Hall - expensive for a food hall but still inexpensive vs other Vegas options
Miznon just opened at the Venetian ~$20 for a pita sandwich

If you venture south or off the strip
Crack Shack (Park MGM)

Secret Pizza. One of the best NY slices I’ve had in a while. Beer from home. $8 a slice is steep even with inflation.

Lindo Michoacán has a few locations in the area. We think it’s one of the best Mexican restaurants we’ve been to anywhere.
