Anan Vietnamese Cuisine / LA Brea

Just drove by this place, had never noticed it before: https://www.ananrestaurant.com/about

Sounds promising. Anyone been?

never been, but i’m fascinated by all the new school Vietnamese restaurants in LA using the linguistic reduplication of common Vietnamese words…

this one is Ân Ăn (eat eat)

soon to open Đi Đi (go go)

While not exactly the same, and a play on tete -et- tete
Tet-a-Tet

Not just LA! There is an Anan in Ho Chi Minh City (https://anansaigon.com/) (and it is well reviewed, for that matter:
Anăn Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City - Restaurant - 50Best Discovery).

It has an associated bar called Nhau Nhau (Nhau Nhau - Ho Chi Minh City - Bar - 50Best Discovery <script > //Google Tag Manager (function(w,d,s,l,i){w[l]=w[l]||[];w[l].push({'gtm.start': new Date().getTime(),event:'gtm.js'});var f=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0], j=d.createElement(s),dl=l!='dataLayer'?'&l='+l:'';j.async=true;j.src= 'https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtm.js?id='+i+dl;f.parentNode.insertBefore(j,f); })(window,document,'script','dataLayer','GTM-5SZG62'); //End Google Tag Manager </script>).

It’s very solid! As good a Cha Gio as you can get inside most of LA City proper I’d say. Haven’t really explored the rest of the menu (pho, etc).
