I don’t know how long it’s been there, but since at least the early 90s there’s been a restaurant called Yu Shang in San Rafael,CA. Half of it is ‘lunch special’ American-Chinese. The other half is a ‘spicy super dragon roll’-type sushi bar.
It was a favorite of the Industrial Light & Magic workers when ILM was still up in Marin.
