My husband is once again on his quest for great corned beef (or similar) hash. Current favorites include the Pine Cone Diner in Pt. Reyes, and Saul’s Deli Hash in Berkeley. Any other suggestions in the Bay Area, preferably San Francisco, North Bay, and East Bay? Thanks!
I had a reliable report that 900 Grayson’s was good.
The few places I’d recommend have closed.
It’s been a while since I ate there, but Hallie’s Diner in Petaluma had some good CB hash. Large parking garage across the street, and you’ll probably have to wait a bit if you go on the weekend!

Fremont Diner in Sonoma has a hash described thusly: “Smoked pork, sweet potatoes, collards, caramelized onions, & sage w/sunny egg.” Might be too way out there for him but I’ve never had anything there that I didn’t love.
When Chef Dennis Leary closed Canteen, I lost my favorite corned beef hash… Eagle Cafe became the go-to for corned beef hash with eggs.
My current fave is the Manor Coffee Shop at 321 West Portal and I only have another 30 days to enjoy this ‘best corned beef hash’ when ownership changes before Thanksgiving 2015. I also love the waffle here - just like the ‘old days in Chinatown’ crisp and slightly sweetened - it’s perfection.
On my ‘next to try’ list for corned beef hash and eggs:
