Reopening shortly in the old Faz space in the office building at 1111 Broadway. First link is their web site.
Soft opening this week, 30% off food, reservations required. We went Sunday for a late lunch, food and service were both excellent, though it was almost empty until we were done and the dinner crowd started to show up. Only glitch was they had trouble getting the point-of-sale system to split the check 2/3 - 1/3.

The Floor Is Guava
Empanadas, cauliflower, anticuchos, all very good. All seemed like great snacks to have with cocktails if you’re into that.
Soft shell crab po’ boy, solid. Better heirloom tomatoes than I’ve found at the farmers market so far this season! Very good french fries.
Forgot to photograph the NY strip. Nice pair of sauces, the “steak sauce” was kind of in between Worcestershire and barbecue sauce.
Tamarindo sorbet was fabulous, complex, tart, and refreshing. Strawberry-guava sorbet was very good. The cajeta sauce didn’t go with either but it was delicious by itself in a spoon, probably would have been great with the rum or chocolate.
The place is maybe even bigger than the old Bocanova: patio seating in front, big bar with a large dining area, dining room with a couple of sections, more paito seating in back. Definitely a place to keep in mind if you’re out with a party of 25 and don’t have a reservation.

Very nice outdoor seating for a warm night. Comfortable seats. Lovely view of the Tribune Tower. Bottles of wine up to (under?) $80 half off on Wednesdays.
Pozole verde was delicious. Not a lot of actual pozole so quite light.
Empanadas were very good. Too bad I dropped the best bite on the ground. Serves me right for using a knife and fork.
Very eccentric but delicious “feijoada” special included duck confit and liver and both black and pinto beans.
Cornbread muffins were excellent, surprisingly light and good corn flavor.
This place deserves more business.
