I’m thinking of breaking up a drive from SF to LA by staying overnight somewhere I can get a good dinner. Maybe a Basque restaurant in Bakersfield?
Bell’s in Los Alamos would be great but I didn’t think of it in time and the cheap hotel is booked up.

Very tasty food served by the nicest folks.

Neither are destination worthy, but definitely worth a stop if you’re passing through.

By “good dinner” I mean sitting at a table in a restaurant for a couple of hours, so not a food truck or the like. There are already a few topics for that kind of stop.
