Butter on bagels?

I only like butter on toasted bagels.

I may have already said this so please excuse. When we come to NYC every few years we bring home a couple of dozen that we freeze. Butter is perfect on them IMneverHO. For breakfast it’s usually butter only. Later on with lox etc. cream cheese.

So … it’s OK if people use it? If more people use it, it’s even more OK? And if people use what was previously incorrect, their use legitimizes it… and how they use it creates rules? That just seems like a description of random chaotic speech branching off into infinity. I’m sure that’s something like how there got to be so many different languages on this planet, but does it just keep on going and going and going?? But what do I know?

And… I guess you’re right. It’s a waste of time to opine about what might be right or wrong. Watching the news these days just proves that. I’m done for now.
