Lunch on Monday is hard since many restos are closed in Lyon that day. Cafe Comptoir Abel was on my maybe list, but it was open Monday and near where wanted to explore.
We called and made reservations. The service was prompt but not chummy like the bouchons. Luckily, the food was delicious!
I got sweetbreads with morels. I changed out the rice that came with the dish for the potatoes, but having tried my husband’s rice, I should have stayed with the rice. It was excellent! Potatoes were very good - no complaints there.
Husband got the steak with morel mushrooms, also.
Would definitely come back here again!
