Cafe Sierra's infamous seafood + prime rib buffet: threat or menace?

Here we go again. Always the restaurants and food related content.

To be fair among some Asian communities Cafe Sierra is infamous.

And Langer’s is infamous in the PeonyWarrior household.

I’m not familiar w/ the name of the place and didn’t notice the address until your post. Is this the buffet at the Universal Hilton??? (or is it a Sheraton?)

Yup it is.

Legendary, indeed!!! That was like THE MECCA of buffets growing up!

@Gr8pimpin: yeah, the use of the word is wrong, but, for some reason, “infamous” in this context doesn’t bother me (but I CANNOT w/ “irregardless,” even if it’s been added to the dictionary).

On a tangential note, the marketing slogan in the car biz that I DETEST is “The first [edit “first ever”] ___ [insert model name]!”

Probably the only time that anyone has ever applied the adjective “infamous” to “Langer’s”.

The #19 is infamous.

I told them Al Capone is infamous. Is that how they see their buffet?

At $139 a pop now, it is infamous in my book.

Ugh. Lol. Agree.

Here, another “infamous.”

Unless you are trying to say 50 people died last year while eating this, don’t call it infamous.
