Capriccio Downhill?

Went to Cappricio on Vermont last night. It’s been our go-to neighborhood Italian (along with Farfalla) for three decades, since they were on Hyperion.
Place was nearly empty ( it was early) service was indifferent, menu seems pruned by 50%, and saddest, food was WAY off the standard; pasta was over cooked and oversauced.

Change of owners? Just a bad night?

Your response really resonates. It’s tough when a place you’ve loved for so long starts to show signs of decline, and I can tell you’re feeling that disappointment too. It’s strange how something as simple as a change in quality can bring up so many emotions, especially when it’s a spot you’ve trusted for years. I can feel the sense of loss in your words—it’s almost like seeing something familiar and comforting suddenly shift. Thanks for sharing your perspective, it really adds to the conversation.
