Costco finds

How many chicken carcasses was that? How much water?

Our Costco often has bags of rotisserie chicken meat for cheaper than the whole birds.

One carcass. I didn’t measure the water, just covered the carcass generously with water. Brought to a boil, covered and put in the oven. Output was four cups. This is the third batch and I feel rich  Now I want only those dishes “worthy” of the stock. Here’s a soup I made.

I ‘made’ the pasta by taking fresh lasagna pasta (store bought) cut into super thin slices and then cut across into itty bitty squares.

Bellwether yogurt, two quarts for $8.79. Hard to match that price for the quality.

This is quite good! 10m in air fryer and comes out wonderful with flaky crispy crust and melt in your mouth custard. Decadent and not too sweet. Currently on sale too, at Costco La Habra.

I know where I’m going tomorrow…that’s my regular Costco, too.

I tried the house flan. Very good though denser than I expected, since I hadn’t looked close enough to notice that it’s flan de queso. Kind of closer to cheesecake than custard.

“Korean-inspired” spicy beef & vegetable soup: broth was delicious, meat was kind of dry and had given up most of its flavor to the broth, could have used a lot more vegetables. Could doctor it to make something really good, but it wouldn’t be a lot more work to start from scratch.

Amazing deal and amazing taste.

Chino Hills Costco right now.

The small bottle at Nijiya is $8, this bottle is a lot larger.

It’s a bright soy vinaigrette that is used at some Japanese restaurants. It’s a nice change from your Italian, Ranch, Thousand, Blue Cheese, et al.

Oh nice I will def try if I see that type of dressing is right up my alley

A fav, at Costco Huntington Beach for $4.98. Wish it has salted egg yolk, but really, can’t beat the price!

Well, there’s also this

Why don’t my local Costco carry these :sob:???
