Heading to Denver in Feb looking for 1-2 dinners. Moved away from Denver two years ago. Anything great open i need to check out??
I had a great brunch/lunch over at La Diabla Pozole Y Mezcal in the ball park neighborhood.
Tucked in an unmarked building, it’s a quaint little Mexican place focused on pozole, tacos, and cocktails.
Service is super friendly. It was a warm summer day and the AC was a nice respite from our walk so refills of cold water was just perfect on top of nice cocktails.
Pollo pibil - chicken, avocado, pickled onions, scrambled eggs
Carnitas - cucumber, onion, salsa rojo, chicharron
Conchinita pibil - marinated pork leg, black bean salsa, pickled onions
Fresh and fluffy corn tortillas filled with plenty of toppings. This was a very filling brunch and quite delicious. Prices were super reasonable.
Returning in October. Had some great meals in July 2021 at Sunday Vinyl, Tavernetta, and Wolf’s Tailor. Looking forward to returning to those and adding Bruto.
Had a very nice French dinner at Chez Maggy. Located at the Thompson Hotel, it’s a very stylish place. Hangar steak frites and Boston lettuce salad all on point. Steak was cooked perfectly, salad was crisp and fries hot and crispy. Steak was served with a Bernaise type sauce that complemented the meat perfectly
