This looks intriguing.
Spoke with the owners before, I’ll give this a 50/50 chance on being decent. First time operators lead me to believe it will be a shitshow at first but if they can learn from their mistakes maybe it will work out?
Worst case scenario equipment ends up on auctions which is good for me.
Sounds reminiscent of Glendora Public Market which I guess is doing OK.
Hoping it brings success to the vendors instead of the loss of their livelihoods and auction of their assets. One of them is Yonette Alleyne/Caribbean Gourmet, who makes Guyanese meals at a couple weekend farmers markets, and does wonderful things.
Smog City is a big draw for Glendora Public Market because there aren’t a ton of breweries in the area. Blossom has a craft beer/wine shop. I think they missed an opportunity to find a good local craft brewery to attract people.
