DineLA is coming back next month from Jan 24-Feb 7th. Any menus that sound interesting for this year?
Usually I do not participate as I feel that it’s the worst time to go out to eat as the restaurants are not serving their true menu’s and are stressed out from the amount of guests.
I saw that Citrin and Majordomo are participating this year and that Majordomo’s menu looks like a decent deal.
Any thoughts?
Charcoal Venice has long been my DineLA stalwart. They’re on the list again, though they haven’t posted the menu yet. They tend to do a “best of Charcoal” meal with a few shared apps between the party and then you choose your own entree. The menu skews towards Charcoal classics - burning cabbage in its embers is always one of the appetizers for example. Charcoal has been doing DineLA for years and has it down to a science.
I can’t count how many dine LA meals I had at Charcoal, okay maybe 5, always pretty much the same but always enjoyable and controls my spending.
I am also looking for anyone who spots a good Dine LA Lunch for an office Chinese New Year (small office so anything will do). Not looking for Chinese, just work for a Chinese affiliated office. Recommendations appreciated, preferable westerly.
