Friends and Family has great pastries and bread. Food is so so.

Never been but has been on my list forever to Terry their croissants.
FYI. 8/28 is BBQ Day at Smorgasborg. Horn BBQ is going to be there and heard so many good things about them. We might be eating brisket and ribs at 10:01 am.

no, friends and family is owned by Roxana Julapat. no affiliated with HLAY. She problably uses some of the best whole grains and flours in LA in her pastries and breads.
10:01 is honestly best way to do Smorg any Sunday. Beat the heat and the crowds.

Exactly. Imo she makes the best laminated pastry in LA. She and her husband Dan were OG Campanile people before branching off on their own.

Horn is excellent but if the LA visit is anything like Oakland the line will be insane. Preorder if possible.
I suspect itâll be smorgageddon on that day and youâll be lucky to get in the parking garage by 1001. plan accordingly.

I really miss the Ledlow. Had the best cheeseburger in LA for a time.
