I was not happy with our local Northgate. They had the sneezeguards up and someone wiping down the cart handles before giving it to you. But otherwise, very lax distancing, I was constantly dancing around people. At checkout, I had to tell the person behind me to back off as they kept trying to crowd me while I was paying.
I did hear from someone that they’ve gotten better. But I’ll have to see if I can work up the nerve to go there next time I need to do a run. I do like grabbing my produce and assorted peppers there.
YAY!! My Little Market was approved today! I’m surprised Wellington Square isn’t on the list. They had a great system in place and have gotten approval already.
Altadena Farmers’ Market is operating as a “no-contact” market now. You can place and pay for an order online and someone will apparently deliver it to your car and put it in your trunk. I haven’t tried it yet but placed an order for next week. Not a huge selection of things, but I can finally get decent eggs again! The friend who told me about it was pleased, overall, with her order and thought pricing was fair.
