Yes! Same in Santa Monica. I’ve also gotten 2 free pizzas’ worth of credits so far.

Starting some time last fall and occurring five to six times per week, my main meal of the day - and often the only real meal (as I’m a dedicated snacker) - has been a variation on this:

A bag of salad (usually a romaine mix)
Tomatoes
Protein of some type (beans, veggie sausage/faux meat)
Dressing (oil/vinegar, Bob’s Thousand Island, Bob’s Roquefort, HV Ranch)
Nuts and Seeds
Fake bacon bits
Fresh cracked pepper

Not for any reason; simply fell into a rut and am okay with it.

Something like this is like nearly half my meals. I love Trader Joe’s Organic Cesar Salad mix and then add some Everytable Chicken or TJ’s Frozen Ground Beef Kabobs or if I am feeling really fancy, Chicken Tenders from the Krispy Krunchy Chicken around the corner….

I bought chicken breast bc it was on sale. I made chicken parm. My kids revolted. They were legit angry. It was January 6th in my house. I’m never buying chicken breast again.

Nothing wrong with chicken breast - just has to be used for the right dish

Yes this was more in jest. My kids are too much. I eat a lot of chicken breast at work during the week for protein and in salads.

it really bothers me when people serve a flavored mayonnaise and call it aioli. i studied cooking in provence during the previous millenium and aioli literally means garlic & oil. no eggs, though it’s devolved to include eggs to make the texture smoother. but it’s all about the garlic. when i see a chef who claims to be classically trained describe a dish that includes a flavored mayo referred to aioli i’m likely to cross them off my list.

I feel like I learned something new today…but it makes sense if you think about it in Italian…aglio.

I will never think of aioli in any other way now. Thanks!

In that case it’s hard to believe that he couldn’t see that there is cheese on the burger.

Still at it.

You can read the word that way, but Jacques Médecin’s and Lulu Peyraud’s recipes both include egg yolks, so calling that “devolved” is going a bit far.

I agree that if it doesn’t taste mainly of garlic it’s goofy to call it aioli.

I consider it a good day when I learn something new.

Sunflower seeds!!

It’s BLT season and we have been eating those up… but recently we deviated for this recipe. It has a ton of sunflower seeds, lots of mayo, an incredible amount of dill and basil. With some amazing crusty bread, it was so good…

Oh wow. Do you recommend that site? Always looking for (even) more food sites.

Not specifically no. I don’t follow influencers or other sites. We got word from the original Turkey and the Wolf recipe from a Vegan friend and then searched online for it and this is a site that had it. There was also a recent instagram/tiktok video about it from some guy. My life is Dogs.Dogs.Dogs.News(Because it pays the bills).Dogs.Dogs.Lipgloss.Yarn.Comics. Dogs.FTC.Dogs.Dogs.
