Our weekends are usually filled with soccer games / golf tournaments for my two sons. But, my younger son sadly broke his collarbone and so all of a sudden our weekends are much more free. Silver lining = more time to try new restaurants.
So, I have a reservation for Gjelina brunch this Saturday. Menu looks great but was curious what others thought and open to new ideas. Really open on cuisine, but things like ricotta pancakes with blueberry compote / prociutto and cheese panini, labneh on toast are all right up our alley, which is why Gjelina appeals to me so much…
I’m curious what you thought? I didn’t reply because while Gjelina is easily my favorite place for brunch in all of LA, the menu items that you found appealing are not up my alley. (Also, you neglected to post this to the LA board.)
Lol. I thought i posted to LA! We ended up not making it bc we all got lazy…
Hopping over here with a group on Sunday for brunch for both food and cocktails/wine.
What’s the play here? Any brunch menu favorites?
They seem to have wine-based cocktails/sprtizes. Better to order bottles?

Reporting back…
We ordered a wide selection from the brunch menu, and every single dish was solid. The vegetable work here is tremendous.
Highlights:
Escarole, sunchoke salad
Smoked trout
Japanese sweet potato
Roasted rainbow carrots
Omelette
Mushroom pizza
Duck hash
Lemon buckwheat ricotta pancakes
We all had mimosas and teas.
Would definitely return.
