Gjuggernaut of a menu with lots of choices. Something for everyone, but it was gjust me today for a casual walk-in lunch. I appreciate that they’re open all-day.
Smoked trout salad with arugula, avocado, grapefruit, red onion, lemon, olive oil
I was expecting the trout to have a more delicate texture like cured smoked salmon, but the overall flavors were very nice when everything was put together. I liked it. Next time, I’ll try the maitake with tarragon butter.
Lamb Burg(j)er with lemon aioli, raclette, and pickle
Delicious and nicely proportioned burger. I love the combination of gjame meat burger and raclette cheese (ever since I had a rabbit and raclette burger in Japan). Lemon aioli with the thin pickle was a nice touch. I’d get this a bit less cooked next time, but I really engjoyed this.
Peach crostata with creme fraiche
Not bad, but I prefer this less cold. Maybe there was a touch of gjinger syrup in here? Taste was pretty gjood, texture was OK. At least it’s peaches and cream season.
What done-ness did you request?
I left it up to their sugjestion. Next time I’ll specify medium-rare; pretty sure this was done medium (still delicious thougjh).
I mean that’s terrible that Gjelina would djefault to medium well.

Yup. Neighbors don’t love it, but so far there are no parking restrictions in the area other street cleaning. You can also often find parking on Electric Ave behind Abbott Kinney.
