Really impressed after 2 dinners at Magari.
Despite the Tokyo - Italian billing it is much more Italian - Tokyo.
Portions are on the small and pricey side.
Four of us loved the pastas - especially the tomato broth of the angolotti
Eggplant Parmigiana Agnolotti
shio koji-parmigiano brodo
Creste Di Gallo
braised duck, peas, yamamomo gremolata
shio koji-parmigiano brodo
Lamb ribs were very good too.
My fav dish was the ika putttanesca - great sauce and tender squid.
Grilled Yari Ika Squid
tuna puttanesca
Lobster was tasty but very little food - would not order again. Milanese was dry (but as @robert pointed out recently, aren’t they all) but good greens and cheese
Wonderful space.
Excellent cocktails.
This one reminded me of the banana blini / caviar dish at Angler
Kodawari | Old Fashioned
whiskey, toasted sesame, banana, black walnut, amontillado
Great people and chef watching too.
