I think this user is a bot

Please do not clutter up threads with posts like that

I think it would be logical to move the obvious bot post along w/ mine, but it’s your site… ::shrug::

If it were obvious, the system would remove it.

quick Q - are you using ChatGPT or another LLM AI to help you write these? Cheers, thanks!

no, sorry, apologies, that was directed at juanwitmore’s reply, not your OG post!

Use the reply feature. It’s there for a reason. :joy:

That’s an inappropriate question.

Disagree. A lot of companies are training LLM models using small forums and they snowball into slop/spam really quickly.

Looking forward to this spinning off into “IS AI BAD” thread but to get back on topic.

I’m very excited to try Rasarumah, anyone know when resy will open up more slots?

Derailing discussions with this kind of stuff is more disruptive than the innocuous suspected bot posts themselves.

Any actual spam will get dealt with quickly. Spambots are almost always caught by Discourse and only the admin will see their attempted posts.

Curious: Does FTC experience a lot of attempted Spambot intrusion events?

That’s an inappropriate question.

TBH, I don’t understand why it’s an inappropriate question since the question was not phrased in a way that was, IMHO, personally disrespectful or attacking.

But to each their own…

I participate in another Discourse forum, and I don’t think whatever spambot Discourse has works very quickly.

I don’t think AI is always bad. But I think it’s use needs to be very limited. Partner is an instructor at the community-college level, and it is super, SUPER problematic there.

continually puzzled by Robert’s tone, it was a genuine question to another poster. But fine to split this into it’s own section. Very excited by Rasarumrah!

AI spam sucks we are truly spiraling into the matrix

Whether spam is from a bot or human spammer is hard to judge, but the system typically flags a few a week, some of which are not spam. The spammers get blocked from further posts.

It’s not about food. Generally, commenting on other users’ posts is off-topic unless it’s contributing to a discussion of food. If you think a post is inappropriate, flag it.

i was going to say it was because robert had outsourced moderation to a bot, or had become a bot himself, but that’s actually a reasonable policy
