In search of brisket for smoking and good carne asada for gilling

No but smoked brisket freezes and keeps well if you have a vacuum sealer. I always portion out the leftovers and freeze it vacuum sealed.

As mentioned I have bought the whole brisket; trimmed the fat cap for grinding burgers with and smoked the point and brined the flat for corned beef and pastrami. Haven’t tried freezing it but should work well.

You mean shrinks from cooking, or from people scarfing it down? It’s just me. lol

Yes. I’d be 900lbs. with a heart attack. i think one of them was 17lbs.
