It was pretty easy to guess that whatever that orange thing is, it’s from Vespertine. You couldn’t pay me to go to that place.

Women Chefs are the heart and soul of restaurants in Koreatown, Little Saigon ,Thai Town, and Boyle Heights. And have been for decades. And will be in probably the next few. My favorite restaurants/cuisines/neighborhoods kitchens are all powered by some Korean Grandma or Thai Auntie. Are they not just as much as a cook as Silverton/Waters/Crenn blah blah?

Forget just women chefs, the owner of arguably the best Korean restaurant in L.A. (Park’s BBQ) is a lady.
