Checked in with the Jolly Oyster over the weekend after not visiting for over a year.
This is still a wonderful afternoon outing on the beach in Ventura. They have about ten picnic tables, with couples and families gathered, shucking fresh oysters and enjoying the sunshine with coolers of wine and beer and other foods to enjoy with the oysters. There’s also a truck that sells prepared food like shucked oysters and any number of other cooked items like jambalaya, oysters Rockefeller and steamed clams.
