Off topic does anyone know where to park for the Lotus Festival/lantern launch at Echo Park Lake. The eventbrite faq was no help.
Parking & Traffic: It will be bad. This year’s festival coincides with Dodger games on Saturday and Sunday, so expect traffic to be extra heavy across Echo Park. There will be a satellite parking lot available for Lotus Festival visitors at Logan Street Elementary (entrance off Lemoyne Street). Visitors will have to walk two blocks to get to the festival.
Take The Bus: Visitors are encouraged to take Metro buses, which run along Glendale and Sunset boulevards. Echo Park residents can take the DASH bus that runs on Echo Park Avenue directly to the park.
Street Closures: Park Avenue, on the north end of the park, between Glendale Boulevard and Echo Park Avenue.
It’ll probably be filled, but try the public lot where Alejandra’s Huitlacoche cart is located (just south of the corner or Sunset & Echo Park).
Oops, that’s from a few years ago. No Dodgers home game today. No guarantee the same school lot is available.

th.anks for the r.ec. I’m sure they’re se.nsational
We love the BB Wings which is the same but in wing form. Weird but not every franchise has them.
tell me more. I don’t see it on their menu.
I think they must have changed the name recently. At Buena Park they’re called spicy golden original. At Fullerton they are BB in parenthesis. They are a dry wing similar to the golden original but with a little kick. They only make them in wing form.
oh okay so I think we’re talking about the same thing then. the spicy golden original only comes in wing form too.
Brunch at pijja palace. Thought it was fine, nothing outstanding. Only bad dish was the saffron pasta (not pictured), under seasoned and creamy which is a bad combination.
Not sure why it took me so long, but lunch at Pizzeria Sei. Had the Riviera pie which blew me away (going away soon they said). Loved sitting at the bar, the small team works well together
Makunouchi Bento from @jimmysugi $80
High quality ingredients cooked well, and selected for consumption at room temp. Sushi was good too. Kabocha was an unexpected favorite. Shiitake hasami-age was also notable. Great flavor on the grilled unagi + burdock. Hope he opens a brick and mortar at some point.
