Kra Z Kai’s Lao BBQ, Corona - Non-Pictorial Absens-Essay

In my usual sub-standard posting style, a quick trip to Kra Z Kai’s this weekend en route to Anza Borrego State Park for some dark sky, Superbloom, and badland action.

Taken out and gobbled down in the shadow of the Walker Canyon, Lake Elsinore Poppy Superbloom 15 minutes south.

No pics of the food (reference recent LATimes Review here: [Review: Laotian-style barbecue seizes the spotlight at Kra Z Kai’s in Corona](http://Kra Z Kal, PATRICIA ESCÁRCEGA Review).

But a pic so you can recognize the storefront which is to the right as you enter the shopping mall:

Simple, fast food interior. A line by noon. Ordered:

  • Beef Short Rib
  • Pork Rib
  • Chicken
  • Beef Dip
  • Lao Sausage

If you going through the area, it’s worth a stop for the Lao Sausage alone.

Finally going to make a pit stop here on the way to Temecula this weekend. Excited.

Focus on the sausage. It’s your friend.

Randomly stumbled upon another stand at the Rodeo 39 food hall in Stanton (next to Westminster) today and had the sausage and the papaya salad. Salad was ok; sausage was fantastic. Really liked the coarse grind.
