Hey Gr8pimpin!!! I loved Il Romanista too…I thought I read the he eventually opened Roca Pizza in Glendale on Brand…now I see a Roca opened in the Palisades but I thought I read its the people from CPK…any knowledge about this?
CPK folks were always the money behind Roca. Believe Sergio from Il Romanista was on as a consultant or the opening chef, then there was some sort of falling out or contract expiration and he moved on. It’s somewhere on this site, in fact. He posted about it. Haven’t tried Roca since.

All the pizzas will feature the same delicious dough you know and love, but perfected for the takeout experience. Utilizing high heat, high capacity Scandinavian designed electric pizza ovens and building out a production kitchen for consistent dough at volume. What this means for you: delivery pizza that isn’t SOA (soggy upon arrival) and true sourdough pizza for the long haul.
They also call their location Sherman Oaks, though it is very much not Sherman Oaks.

Yes was quite skeptical when I saw electric oven but based on the quality of la morra I would be surprised if they were willing to compromise by providing a sub standard pie.
