Hot pot two days in a row!?!?
His $14B disagrees with you.
Btw have you tried hosting a Szechuan hotpot dinner with lots of seafood in an apartment during winter with limited window opening capability…?
Well yeah.
I have a small circle of friends and family . Context. We never went out for that.
I stated my reasons and I get what you guys are saying.
Yeah Im more on the stay at home hot pot side its super cheap easy and affordable akin to ordering most steaks at a restauant.
But from time to time if I want duo hotpot or different soups or maybe some speciality fishballs I’ll go out and have it.
Does anyone know any hot pot specialists that do fresh fish balls for hot pot?
Do you mean where they give you a stick of fish-flesh paste and you spoon your own amt into the broth?
dude i could eat hotpot 8 days in a row. I do like to change up the styles of hot pot tho. Like I can’t eat too much Chong Qing hot pot as I get super bloated (like right now) from their soup bases.
I could have eaten yesterday’s longo hot pot all day. Same as Shabu Shabu where the broth is much lighter. Time and place for all the different hot pot styles!
sidenote - at one point, Little Lamb was owned by the same conglomerate that owns KFC
Yes either those or ones that a fresh fish paste rolled into balls
I’m with you on that, I used to always wonder why we did hotpot only once or twice a year at most. It was so easy and as an adult we do it quite often.
My dad took me here, like, 15 yrs ago. And I don’t even know if it’s the same location. And I’m not seeing fish paste in any of the “early” pics on Yelp. But they did have it once upon a time.
Hopefully, someone will chime in w/ a more, uh, recent offering…
One of the og hot pot spots that closed maybe near valley and Del Mar had them but it closed like 8 years ago.
Speaking of hot pot I had some pork nabe today and it was great!
Apparently king crab is up to 40/lb know of anyone offering a better deal in sgv?
40 is still amazing
I know but 29.99 was an insane deal!
Some more longo action good as before although 40 dollars and fyi technically the seafood specials are only for night time. Got some dim sum too highlights were the crispy pork, lava buns, taro fried balls, and char sui puff pastry.
Aside from the crab the lobster yee mien was the highlight of the stir fried dishes.
The best way to eat king crab. Hot pot style.
Has to be pre ordered - they also have a5 wagyu and homemade meat balls that need to be pre ordered.
We did live fish, king crab, live scallops, live geoduck, a plate of pea sprouts, soft tofu and verm, 3 roasted squab.
They wok fried the fish head in a sweet soy. Did a congee with the body of the geoduck. Fried rice with the king crab.
7 people. Total was $230pp which included tax and a 35% tip.
230 pp or 230 total?
Edited. Pp
