Loved our first visit yesterday before music at grand performances and after Homage bevvies.

Brisket was my favorite as expected. Sides fantastic

Was odd that at 5 on a Saturday they were out of key items like sausage, beans, Mac n cheese, banana pudding

Google’s AdSense crawler flagged one of those photos as objectionable content! Hilarious.

I went a few weeks back on a Friday at 4:45pm. We were about 5th in line. As we slowly worked our way to the front of the line, they gradually started marking off everything that they had just run out of. By the time we had gotten to the front of the line, they literally had run out of 90% of the menu. We were able to order, like, one thing and then they shut everything down like 5 minutes after we ordered. So, I definitely would give a big warning about going later than, say, 4pm.

If you already pay the rent of an LA brick and mortar and salary cost, cook some more Mac n cheese and GD beans.

Edit: I actually didn’t realize they close early and their model is to run out. So I think this will change over time when they decide they like money

I don’t think Broadway & I-5 is a very high-rent area. There are literally two 99-cent stores across the street from each other a couple of blocks away.

What’s better this or heritage?

Yeah. I think it’s the limited space in the kitchen and bandwith of the chefs more than anything. I always warn people about going to Boos too late. Sometimes they run out of the oddest things by 3p because someone comes in and decides they are only going to order X. Plus, you can’t just fire up things like Pulled Pork, Mac N Cheese and Baked Beans. Not how they make it anyways.

I’d go to Moo’s over Heritage 100 times out of 100.
