This new restaurant is opened by some former employees from the bay area’s Little Star. Only been once for take out and reheated the pies prior to eating. Their deep dish has a cornmeal crust and was easily better than any deep dish I’ve had in SD (I’ve tried Regents, Lefty’s, Chicago bros and Berkeley). It’s been over a year since I had Little Star but it was similar. Their thin crust was fine, good for this area but nothing destination worthy. The deep dish, however, is worth a drive. They had a nice looking patio open as well as some tables inside but the inside had a cluttered look about it, possibly as they just opened or from Covid uncertainty. The workers all seemed to be following covid precautions. A large deep dish was around $30 while a large thin crust was around $20.
