Of Jonathan Gold, Destroyer, restaurant reviews, semantics and logomachy

Language as the written word presents a “tone,” and any good writer knows exactly how the written word will be interpreted. Comedy? Tragedy? Irony? Sarcasm? Or sanctimony?

As for the rest of it, really? You’re implying anyone who doesn’t agree with your interpretation of the review is uneducated. Rather presumptuous. You’re being bombastic and aggressive, with a thin veneer of humor to cover up your insecurity. How’s that for interpretation and reading between the lines?
