Oliveto rosticceria (downstairs cafe)

This place has been good for a while but has really hit its stride in the last year or so. The rosticceria menu is one of the best deals in the area: $19 for your choice of three or four meats and two of five or six sides.

Usually I get the pork but last night I got spit-roasted chuck-eye roll with kale and broccoli di ciccio. Since Oliveto’s a whole-animal place they offer some funny cuts and you might get the odd bit of gristle. Very nice selection of mostly Italian wines by the glass.

Salads, charcuterie, pizzas, sides, and baked pastas are all reliably good as well.
