Anybody ever shuck your own from Drydock in Fullerton?

To ‘close the loop’ on this thread (god, I have GOT to get out of the office):

Since I wasn’t looking to break the bank and I had the Significant Other around, we decided to do the buck-a-shuck at whole foods, and grab some bread and cheese to round out.

18 bluepoint oysters - very mild, quite creamy, with a pronounced mineral/river-rock finish. Decent size, and laid on 3 takeout boxes filled with ice.

a hunk of triple cream St. Angel brie. This was not so much cheese as butter gone all lazy and indolent. mild, rich, and creamy, not very complex, but with a nice bit of tang on the end.

That and a baguette of la brea sourdough and some horseradish and cocktail sauce makes for a fine meal.
