Pizzeria Sei FTC Buyout - 2/27/24

Has anyone done a private dinner at Sei yet? @Clayfu? I’m willing to defer to anyone with prior experience who can guide us here. I’ll be showing up in a major caloric deficit ready to inhale everything in sight so happy to eat everything served to me and anything left behind.

Speaking only re the time, I can’t make it before 7, and my +1 is going to be 15 minutes behind

Our vote is for slightly fewer slices and nicer ingredients especially with appetizers. That’ll also result in more pies that you wouldn’t normally see on his menu which should be fun. I’m not adverse to taking leftovers home either if we go with more slices and end up with too much.

I haven’t gone but he’s consulted with me for a few of them.

I would go quality over quantity. You won’t leave hungry either way. Can even ask to do more apps over pizzas. I’ve gotten to taste some of his seafood app experiments. So good.

William is such a good dude, he just wants the best experience for people on this.

Sounds like quality over quantity is the way to go. No arguments from me.

Having organized a past Chowhound buyout event, I’d agree with quality over quantity. Also advocating a 7pm start, since perhaps some in the group will need that extra bit of time to commute over and (if applicable) also find parking. Those of us there arriving earlier can pre-game lol…

If you are still hungry afterwards which I doubt you can always go get tacos

We vote for quality over quantity. Also, 7pm start time is better for us. 6pm may be rushed depending on how the work day goes.

Sounds like the consensus is 7PM start, quality over quantity (although we will still have plenty of food).

I am pleasantly surprised with how promptly everyone has paid. Of the 9 individuals on the board attending, each with various amounts of additional guests:

8 have paid in full
1 is currently arranging payment

Thank you everybody, I have collected all the money. Sei is closed tomorrow, so i’ll be calling Wednesday at 4PM to pay for the event. I will DM all attendees a copy of the receipt after I have paid. I have been holding a 19th spot for @mzonelli but have not heard back, so if anybody wants to take that 19th and final spot, slide into my DMs before Wednesday at 4PM. If not, 18 it is.

The event has been paid in full. Everybody attending should have a copy of the receipt in their inbox. If you do not see the receipt in your inbox, let me know and I will resend it.

We have 19 people confirmed and paid and are now at capacity! If anybody wants to join the waitlist, just post in this thread, that way if anybody needs to cancel I can help facilitate a swap.

I communicated to William the group consensus of a 7PM start time, and slightly less pizza per person in exchange for even more premium ingredients.

See you all on February 27th!

LOL dreaming of one singular pizza with a ton of beluga caviar, Alba truffle, saffron, Jamón Ibérico de Jabugo and gooseneck barnacles piled on it for us all to share.
