Recycling teflon?

Hello. Does anyone know if I can recycle Teflon cookware in Los Angeles? An internet search shows an LA Times statement that it can be placed in the blue bin, but that’s from 2011.

I can’t find anything directly from LA Sanitation confirming this.

These are the metal items that can go in the blue bin:

Soda cans
Juice cans
Soup cans
Vegetables cans
Pet food cans
Pie tins
Clean aluminum foil
Empty paint and aerosol cans
Wire hangers

So no.
