Sanchez and Tacomiendo near El Abajeno are both open for takeout. Sanchez carniceria is also open and they’re only allowing one person or group from same household into the market. Lines outside are small or non-existent when I’ve passed by.

Grabbed a Raku bara chirashi as well, perfect reprieve from the hot Saturday evening! The mushrooms were fantastic and I found myself dipping the crunchy cucumber in their house shoyu quite a bit. The bursts of ikura littered throughout helped the rice seasoning, which is the only downfall to an otherwise excellent takeout option!

The tamagoyaki was so good too.

This was a first for me, dining in my car right on La Cienega Blvd.

Beautiful presentation!

How did you like them? :poop:

Chef Sugishita said that he had changed his shari formula. The first groups of people complained that he it was too vinegar-y. So he’s since tempered it down. He also let us know that the shoyu is supposed to be added to counterbalance the vinegar in shari.

We ordered sun nong Dan spicy galbijjim this weekend and the size of the portion for 70 dollars is ridiculous.

It’s literally a catering party tray worth of galbijiim with generous portions of associated banchan, purple, and white rice and dipping sauces. It probably will feed us for 3-4 meals. The amount in the pot is less than 1/4 of the whole tray.

Republiqué (Take-out via Tock)
I picked up a mac & cheese as part of my order this weekend. The chowpups heated it up and devoured it. For $12, it’s both superb and a great deal. I would order a few next time. Also picked up the tomato soup and salad dressings, but haven’t tried them, yet.

P.S. All Day Baby’s biscuits the next day make terrific biscuit breakfast sandwiches. Reheated them in my toaster oven at 300 for about 10 minutes while I fried some eggs and ham…there may have also been some avocado.

Good and a lot easier than waiting in line to dine in, just order online and pick up your bag from the table outside.

Did you try the dosirak yet?

Picked up Colapasta’s Traditional Family Pasta Dinner - 1 lb. spaghetti, 1 lb rigatoni, 1 lb tomato sauce and a 1 lb of bolognese - for $24! What a deal! They also selling 8 oz. packages of fresh pasta for $2 (as well as a lasagna tray).

It was a good amount of food for the price. My family of three squeezed two meals out of it.

Was really good.
Loved the Chicken Soup with Shrimp Wontons - surely one of LA’s best Jewish chicken soups, so rich and great wontons too.

Also:

Soboro Don

Fried Soft Parts (aka chicken knees)

Stuffed Roll Cabbage - another dish that reminds me of my Jewish roots
