Salsipuedes - Oakland

http://www.salsipuedes.us

They’re usually closed Sunday and Monday, but are open today and tomorrow for Restaurant Week.

  • My favorite thing is the octopus bao with shrimp and chicharron, really nice combination of flavors and textures. They look almost like tacos, the bao are so thin they could almost pass for thick flour tortillas.
  • Corn nuts are excellent.
  • Sea bean tempura is super-crunchy, I presume they’re using some rice or potato flour.
  • Black cod tiraditos with a touch of ginger and chile a la Manzanita, really nice.
  • Chicken katsu torta has a little kimchi in it, reminiscent of Fusebox. If they were open for lunch I’d eat those all the time.

Closing. Last service tonight.
