My work had a party at this newish place downtown from the owners of the Palo Alto Brewing Co. and the Rose and Crown. Nice selection of natural wines including some stuff that I don’t recall seeing at the Punchdown, Ordinaire, or Terroir.
They put out a spread for the party so I’ll have to go back to try some of the unusual items on the menu such as avocado furikake or egg salad with barbecued eel & green onion.
We did get the fries ($6), which were exceptional. I asked the owner and they do it right: acidulated water soak, first fry at lower temperature, second fry at higher temperature. The hanger streak with bearnaise ($19) also comes with fries.
