Santa Barbara — Petit Valentien

We had a very nice dinner a few yrs ago where this restaurant is (don’t recall if it was the same restaurant back then). For the price, the food is good and the servings are pretty generous.

Is gazpacho supposed to be THIS chunky??? I had always assumed it was supposed to be more pureed.

Interestingly, the website ( says that an Ethiopian (!) is served on the weekend for lunch.

Gazpacho can be garnished with a dice of the vegetables used to make it. I’m used to more of a brunoise-style dice…yours looks a bit more rustic.
