I have had a few good ones at the Rose (the preps change from time-to-time) but they are not on the menu every week. I’ve not yet been this year, but they were a frequent Summer special at JAR in years past (tempuraed with a ponzu dipping sauce, as I recall).

The crispy Maryland soft shell crabs at Father’s Office (Culver City/Helms location) is always tasty.

I had lunch at Rose Thursday and one of the options was a softshell crab sandwich ($24) but I opted for the terrific oyster po’boy instead.

Saw them for sale at Santa Monica Seafood.
Fish King in Glendale had them today. Didn’t pick any up, though. Was there to pick up a couple dozen of Fanny Bays ($1/ea this month).
