Are pineapples in season right now?

Feel like it’s gimmicky and designed to be insta/tiktok friendly, but it’s also supposed to be more sweet and less tart. I gifted one to a hard-to-buy-for friend over the holidays, and it was well-received.

Sweeter and less tart than a “gold” pineapple? Yikes.

Ataulfo mangos are insanely good right now. We’re now working through our 2nd box.

Ooooh, where?! The ones I’ve seen at the asian markets have not looked so great.

Current box is from Hmart on 6th. Last box was from a street fruit vendor.

Thanks! I’m going to try the Hmart in Arcadia.

From the MyMangoStickyRice2019 cart (corner of Palms & Sepulveda, by Trader Joe’s) not long ago…

Extra mango, light on rice… #NotPossibleAtASushiBar

Meanwhile, at Eataly (Century City):
Pineapples, peaches, and dragonfruits? Yes.
Harry’s Berries? No.

Does that say $19.90/lb???

$14.90 per plastic cratelet at Eataly (which is still cheaper than the $20 per cratelet price at Gelson’s Century City)…

How were the mangos? Also does this cart have an insta account?

Mangoes were magnificent. Every single one is a gem. Grown by Rodeva (Mexico)…

Nice! Potential for a Paderia egg tart bangbang right there…

Already did earlier this wk, but got the regular strawberries for like $6/lb!

BTW, thanks for the heads up about Paderia. Not an egg tart connoisseur, but it more than scratched the itch. Chocolate peanut butter chip cookie was fine but looking forward to trying the other flavors.
