I am wondering where people recommend for a fun place to hear jazz and get great food and drink? I had been thinking of Commanders Palace, where we went 15 years ago for jazz brunch, but now think we will try a long boozy lunch there the day we leave (a Wednesday). On Saturday, we were going to try Angeline for brunch, but still need a place, preferably with music, on Sunday. What about Arnauds? We will be staying in the French Quarter at that point (moving to the Garden District that night).
Or how about Revolution for jazz brunch? Just saw they did one.
With the acknowledgement that I am not a “Jazz Brunch” fan, I’d opt for R’evolution. I have NOT had jazz brunch there, but a) dinners there have been fantastic, and b) as it’s within the Royal Sonesta, they probably have access to Irvin Mayfield’s musician list . . .
