Sushi Tanaka could be the best “unknown” omakase in greater Los Angeles. Chef Seii has been running (and doing everything in this small 6 seater sushi bar) for the last 11 years, but closed down for two of those during COVID. His Shari is seasoned really well, however rice was a tad cold in my opinion. The neta was really friggen good! I highly recommend visiting this place, QPR could also be the best in LA. Omakase is $125-150 a person. I received 19 courses, 4 of them as non nigiri dishes/appetizers.

Simi Valley??? Who’d have thought! Photos on Yelp look wonderful. Thanks for the heads-up–I have family out that way, may need to plan a dinner.
