Trattoria Daly: A Cozy Italian Gem in Lincoln Heights

Tucked away in Lincoln Heights, Trattoria Daly is a small, locally-owned Italian restaurant with a warm and cozy space. I first discovered this place through UberEats. Their pollo alla funghi (chicken with mushrooms) was so tasty that I decided to visit the restaurant in person earlier this week.

During my visit I tried their beef lasagna, which very good, a large slice that came with a generous side of nicely cooked veggies. My dining partner enjoyed their risotto with chicken and mushrooms. Both dishes were delicious and reasonably priced in the low 20s.

We started with their refreshing house salad with plump shrimp, apples, feta, and champagne vinaigrette. Complimentary warm bread and butter was delicious and we polished it off quickly. After we finished the first serving of the tasty bread and butter they graciously brought out complimentary grilled garlic bread which was also delicious :face_savoring_food:

I look forward to returning and exploring more of their small menu like their shrimp pastas, penne alla vodka, pizza, and fettuccine Alfredo.

Thanks for the heads up about this place, will check it out.

Out of curiosity, did you use an LLM to write this post? Certain phrases such as “Trattoria Daly’s commitment to quality and hospitality shines through in every dish” sound very LLMish, and I looked back at your old posts and this one seems to have a different, slightly more structured, voice than your other posts. If you did not use an LLM then take this a compliment as it’s well written! I use LLMs extremely frequently as a coding assistant so their style of writing is seared in my mind.
